- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the crumble topping:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
Method
- Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine the pre-sliced sweet apples and halved strawberries.
- Add the granulated sugar, lemon juice, cornstarch, and vanilla extract. Mix gently to coat the fruit evenly.
- Pour the fruit mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, rolled oats, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and salt.
- Add the cold, cubed butter to the dry ingredients. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
