Duties:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensure planning/scheduling of department staff meets budget expectations.
• Implement and execute process improvement projects in the areas of quality assurance and food safety.
• Implement and execute cost savings initiatives.
• Implement and execute training programs for leads in the areas of RTE food safety and quality, HACCP and SQF standards.
• Implement and maintain the standards and policies of the employee handbook.
• Performing internal audits to validate effectiveness of company FSQA policies and protocols and to ensure compliance with 3rd party audit standards.
• Manage, follow up and ensure corrective action occurs for nonconformities from previous internal and external audits.
• Conduct annual management reviews of the quality and food safety systems.
• Following-up on and closing pending preventive and corrective action requests.
• Ensuring that organizational systems and training are in place.
• Preparing organization for SQF, CFS, USDA organic and kosher audits.
• Ensure that documentation and design controls are appropriate and updated for organization.
• Administering document control management systems.
• Overseeing established testing programs designed to validate company food safety and quality expectations.
• Assist the Director of Quality and Food Safety to forge strong internal partnerships with Crunch Pak operations and sales teams.

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Support and enforce all company policies, standards and procedures.
• Compile information and/or prepare reports as requested by the Director of Quality and Food Safety
• Participate in special projects as requested by the Director of Quality and Food Safety.

Education and/or Work History:
• 5 years minimum of relevant quality experience in the food industry.
• B.S. Degree in Food Science/Microbiology/Chemistry or Related Field of Study
• Must be self-motivated and driven
• Clear and approachable verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
• Ability to work independently

FULL-TIME POSITION: DAYS
STARTING PAY: $73k - $78k DOE – EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
