Ingredients
  1. 1-½ cups all-purpose flour
  2. 1 cup whole-wheat flour
  3. ½ cup natural bran cereal
  4. 1-tsp. baking soda
  5. ½ tsp. baking powder
  6. ¼ tsp. ground ginger
  7. 1-⅓ cups buttermilk
  8. ¾ cup sugar
  9. ¼ cup vegetable oil
  10. 1 large egg
  11. 1 tsp. grated orange zest
  12. 2 cups Crunch Pak® sweet sliced apples, chopped
Instructions
  1. 1. Combine whole-wheat and all-purpose flours, bran cereal, baking soda, baking powder and ginger in a medium bowl. In a large bowl, beat buttermilk, sugar, vegetable oil, egg and orange zest.
  2. 2. Add flour mixture to buttermilk mixture, stirring until just combined. Fold in apples.
  3. 3. Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan. Spread batter in prepared pan, then bake in preheated 425°F oven 45-50 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool bread in pan 10 minutes. Cool completely before serving.
